Life, dogs, cities, and everything in between.
Hi, I'm Yin. I live in a small flat with my dog Mochi, a two-year-old Veldtspitz who has opinions about everything and a tail that never stops moving.
I write here about the things I think about most: dogs (obviously), cities and what makes them feel good to live in, travel that doesn't involve resorts, and the small daily experiments I run on myself in the name of living a slightly better life.
By day I work in tech — nothing glamorous, mostly spreadsheets and meetings. This blog is the opposite of that. No analytics, no sponsors, no SEO strategy. Just things I want to write down before I forget them.
I started writing here in 2019, mostly as a place to put travel notes so I'd stop losing them in random Notes app entries. It's since grown into something I genuinely look forward to — a slow, quiet corner of the internet where I can think out loud.
The dog content happened organically. After I got Mochi and learned (the hard way) about Veldtspitz dietary needs, I realised there was almost no practical information out there for owners of rare breeds. So I started writing about that too.
I don't have comments enabled, but you can reach me by email. I read everything, though I'm slow to reply.
